The 6.5×55 SE is one of the most popular all-around ammo in the world for both target shooters and hunters. Lapua’s 6.5×55 SE cartridge is especially popular in the Scandinavian countries, including long-range field shooting disciplines. This round delivers a flatter trajectory and excellent ballistics. Though traditionally most used at longer ranges, the 6.5×55 SE cartridge is today extremely popular in competitions from 100 to 800 meters / yards. This cartridge is loaded with Lapua's Open Tip Match projectile Scenar, with a bullet weight of 123 grains (8 grams) and an impressive muzzle velocity of 3015 fps or 920 m/s.
The Lapua Scenar hollow point boat tail bullet provides low drag and a superb ballistic coefficient. These bullets deliver superb performance at long ranges and benchrest shooting.
