Hot core 140 gr speer 6.5 bullet

I shot a lot of this bullet in a bolt Grendel and a bolt 260 rem.
It stays together really well on impact. It handles impact velocities up to 2500 with ease. It shoots 1 moa from both these rifles.

The Speer hot core bullets hold together better than most cup and core bullets. Been shooting “Hot Core” and “Grand Slam” bullets since the 1970’s. No wasted meat, always a perfect “mushroom “

Loaded for both a 6.5 Creedmoor bolt gun and AR. No issues hitting 3" steel out to 300 yards.
Will have access to 1000 yard range starting next month and will find out if they are accurate to that distance.

I can't match Gary's impressive experience, but this 140 Speer Hot Cor out of my 6.5x55 has taken cleanly three whitetails, one slumped in its tracks and the other two when no more than 30 yards. The damage in the body cavity was impressive. I'm a big fan of Speer Hot Cor bullets in general and this one for sure.

I load for three 6.5-06 and three 6.5x55 and have found that the 140gr hot core is for me and my family the best deer & elk getting bullet speer makes. Over the years we have taken eleven elk and countless deer and a few antalope. They work for me. PS they are accurate to .
