Product Information

Berry's Preferred Plated bullets begin as a swaged lead core. The swaged lead cores are tumbled in an electrically charged bath containing high-grade copper ingots. The copper clings to the lead and the longer the bullets remain in the bath, the thicker the plating.  The bullets are plated to the correct size and then taken out of the bath. Plated bullets are not as expensive as jacketed bullets.  They are cleaner than lead but you'll want to stay away from magnum velocities when loading plated bullets.  This is not loaded ammunition.

Berry 9mm plated bullets 115 Gr

By James R. on Nov 23, 2020
I have used Berry bullets for larger calibers and decided to try some in 9mm. These bullets loaded smoothly without case upsets or bullet shaving and didn't require a separate finish sizing to remove bulges required for heavily jacket bullets..
Accuracy was on par with more expensive FMJ bullets and the price was moderate compared to the heavy FMJ and JHP bullets of other brands. For practice loads, they are hard to beat.

Berry's 9 mm 115 grain plated FMJ

By Michael G. on Jul 11, 2020
These are excellent plinking and casual target shooting bullets that are or are close to the cheapest reloading jacketed bullet available. Western Powder lists the overall length, 1.130, and Speer Manual #15 of it's like slug - 1.135, should work, too. Combined, the two list a variety of powders for this and similar weight & shape bullets. I like to use the Lee Carbide Factory Crimp die with the Berry (and other) bullet to ensure the factory overall cartridge dimension, but any available taper crimp die should suffice.
