Product Information

Remington introduces the first high-velocity Foster-style lead slug. This higher velocity slug exits the barrel at 1800 fps, 13% faster than standard 1 oz. slugs. The 7/8 oz. Slugger High Velocity delivers 200 ft-lbs more energy at 50 yards with flatter trajectory on deer than standard 1 oz. slugs. Produced in most popular slug loadings — 2 3/4" and 3" 12-gauge and 2 3/4" 20-gauge with a 1/2 oz. lead slug. Designed for the avid deer hunter using smooth bore guns.  This is loaded ammunition.

Works great in both my rifled slug gun and my choked shotgun. When deer season over laps with small game I carry both slug and shot. That way when I get my deer I don't have to go home and get a different gun for small game. I can stay out longer hunting and bring home more meat in 1 trip. Extremely accurate at 75 yards in my modified choked shotgun. I can hit a soda bottle with it. And yes, it does spin in my smooth bore and enters clean. It does not tumble.
