I read the fantastic scent changed but it still has the good old sweet smell and works just like it did when I used it for the first time 45 years ago. It always will.

Been using hoppes #9 since 1968 always cuts right through the crud expecially the fouling left by grease lubricated pistol bullets.I am always sure o keep an extra quart on hand.

Have used this product for over 60 years of gun cleaning and think it is effective now as when first used. Older bottles had a banana smell which no longer exists. Too bad. Still and all, is included in my cleaning routine.
