Product Information

All-copper TAC-TX™ rifle bullets have a proven reputation for accuracy. They’re designed for controlled, double-diameter expansion and full functionality at close or long range. These bullets track straighter through barriers and have better weight retention than lead-core bullets. This is not loaded ammunition.

Better than expected

By Jeff F. on Jan 29, 2024
I purchased these bullets on the recommendation of a friend who uses them in 300blackout. I purchased my son a Tikka rifle in 308 Winchester for Christmas, and for the next couple of years plan on using light bullets with low velocity to reduce recoil. After having another 125bullet by another brand explode violently on a broadside shot, (still killed the deer, but lost too much meat). I wanted something that would stay together better, and still open up at slower speeds. This should do the trick. I have never had great luck with solid copper bullets and accuracy, but wow did these impress me. 3 of the 4 groups I tried were well under an inch. One was under 1/2”, so load development is completed in one session at the range. I will use these for hunting only, he can practice with the cheaper bullets. I know some may ask why not get a 243? Simple, we have lots of bears in our area, and I have a tendency to walk up on them. Also last year after a long tracking job on a perfectly placed shot on Gemsbuck in Africa, our PH said no more 6.5’s, please at least get a 308 or bigger. By the next trip he can handle heavier bullets and there won’t be an issue

great
