Convenient, tamper-proof security!

New with the KP model is the keypad that offers a secondary entry method where the user can program a 4 to 6 digit security code in addition to the RFID-enabled access methods. Available in two sizes, the 2600KP and 2700KP offer convenient, tamper-proof security for handguns and other valuables. Made of thick 14 gauge steel, each safe exceeds ASTM International safety standards for child and pry resistance, lock strength, and hinge attack resistance. AC and battery power ensures that valuables are protected and ready to go 24/7. Plus, there are pre-drilled holes for mounting, or a 1500-lb rated cable to secure to stationery objects.

 Excellent Safe ... Reliable mechanisms

This is my 5th Hornady safe.
Three 2700s and two 2600s
++ My 2700 is >5 yeas old and still works flawlessly using the RFID tag on my wrist each morning and evening.
++ The 4 others were gifts to close friends that were new gun owners with children. The new safes have more capability [3 different methods of opening instead of my 2 methods] yet fundamentally they are the same as my original ...

This safe is inconspicuous, rugged, anchored, is reliable. The 2700 holds 2 handguns and 2 extra mags. I'll continue to give this as a gift to friends that are new gun owners along with guidance on safe gun ownership.

2600k Rapid Safe Review

Purchased 2 of these from Graf & Sons. One for upper level and one for lower level of house where we hang out most. Seems like an additional step in an emergency but with grandkids around thought it a good solution. Product seems easy to get into when needed. Had a slight problem programming the RFID devices but a quick call on the 800 number and it was fixed. Easily fits my Glock 19 and feels heavily built.
