Won't work in a lever action

I bought these to use in a 1919 Winchester 1894 saddle ring carbine, and they won't work, they are too long and the nose is too fat. They jam up tight and won't feed. They are designed for a No. 1 Ballard, says so on the box. Says so in the description title but I overlooked it because it was abbreviated as 1BLRD.
