These crimp dies are a must for straight wall any cartridge. That includes any pistol.
A strong crimp always improves velocity consistency. I always test loads through a chronograph, and it shows the difference.
A strong crimp also expands your powder choices because some powder will not burn consistently without a higher pressure buildup before the bullet releases.
Lee's factory crimp dies will not collapse the shoulder on bottle neck case either, the way a roll crimp die can sometimes.
I use them for most of my cartridges.
