Product Information
A collet squeezes the case neck against a precision mandrel for a perfect fit with minimum run-out. No lube case is needed and neck sizing extends case life. This dies sizes only the neck to preserve the perfect fit of fire forming. Only reload cases that have been fired in your gun. Not recommended for autoloaders, slide or lever action guns. Includes: Collet neck sizing die only.

Lee Collet Neck Size Die for .300 Win Mag

I use this die for neck sizing and also as an expander die after use of a full length size die having no expander. I use a .007 inch feeler gauge between F/L die & shell holder so head space is on shoulder vs belt.
No chance of neck runout with the collet die as opposed to using an expander that might not be centered in F/L die.
Neck sizing with the collet die allows headspace on shoulder without F/L resize and gap between F/L die & shell holder.
Periodic F/L size with feeler gauge for easy chambering using shoulder for headspace.
Easy push down on press to size neck with collet. Good idea to periodic clean & lube between collet & cone shaped compressing surface. Mandrel has steps to guide into case mouth and primer punch out pin. Easy 5 star - good value.
