Rem Oil
Rem Oil is a light duty oil. It penetrates, lubricates and prevents rust. I find it very effective in the maintenance of my black powder revolver. A black powder revolver should be thoroughly cleaned and every internal and external part coated with a high quality oil. The corrosive residue from burned black powder gets into every part of a black powder revolver, including the action. I remove the trigger guard and hand grips. Flush the action with kerosene and blow it out with compressed air. If compressed air isn’t available let it drain overnight. Generously spray Rem Oil into the action and let it drain overnight. Reinstall the trigger guard and grips.
