A Grafs discounted JHP bullet used in W-W's Defense ammo, I purchased a box for use in the .40 S&W. A local sporting goods store let me measure the OAL of the factory-loaded round so I could copy it: 1.120. I used the Speer 15 ed. manual to find a load just under 1,000 fps. With cases less than or trimmed to .845 and case mouths slightly expanded, I easily seated a few hundred rounds. I used the Lee Factory Crimp Die to crimp the bullet. All spot-checked cartridges tested fell in and out of the Lyman case gauge. I will buy more of the W-W bullets while they last.
