Outstanding bullet
By Larry S. on Jan 31, 2021
An outstanding bullet for my M1903 Springfield/30-06. Loaded with IMR 4895 it makes for a low recoil round that will hold the 10 ring of a 200 yard service rifle target with a good X count. Note that the bullet is 7.83mm in diameter. Buy them quick when they are available as they are not available long.
Lapua .308 123 grain FMJ #4PL7003

I picked these up to try in my carbine length M1A, (Socom 16).
These are true 30 caliber bullets. Their diameter matches the Sierra Match Kings I have.
Weight is very consistent on these projectiles.
The completed cartridge has a short C.O.A.L. at 2.634" (Found length at Lapua web site.). But I have had no feeding issues with them.
I combined these with Winchester, Federal and SBS once fired NATO brass, IMR 3031 powder, CCI BR-2 primers.
With the velocity in the lower-mid 2700 f.p.s. range the accuracy was quite good.
Although these may be considered a "niche" projectile because of size and weight.
I am very pleased with them and will get more as they become available.
