When selecting a quality rifle scope or pistol scope from a manufacturer like Burris, Leupold or another maker, also choose the correct scope mounts and scope rings to install the optic on your firearm. For some uses, a Sightron or Nikon red dot scope may be ideal. Just as these optics for firearms are available with different magnifications, reticles (the “crosshairs”) and dot sizes and shapes, binoculars, spotting scopes and even night vision binoculars can be chosen based on their particular uses and characteristics.
