The Rollsizer.com Decapper is a game changer and allows quick, easy and safe handling of spoiled cases.
The Decapper is fabricated from a modified engineering plastic and is extremely strong. The material is the same as used in iron ore wear chutes and will last a very long time if looked after.
The Rollsizer.com Decapper is designed to remove spent primers from your soiled cases. It will remove the primers (commonly known as decapping) from 380ACP cases up to 308Win. The machine will remove the spent primers up to 3,600 cases per hour (if your casefeeder can keep up) and cases can be processed soiled. You can wet clean your cases afterwards and you cases inside and out including your primer pockets, then rollsize your cases. This will save you a LOT of time in reloading.
Please note the decapper is only recommended for attended domestic use. The decapping process will occasionally result in broken pins (especially if you hit rocks in the cases or they are fed incorrectly to the machine) and we recommend you buy spares. The decapper can only operate with the Small pins.
Processing “non toxic” or cases with lead free primers are not recommended. These will often have VERY small flash holes and can catch on the decapping pins. this does not normally damage the pin but will usually damage / destroy the case.
Clean cases and primer pockets will improve your reloading press performance and reduce primer seating issues. The crud in the primer pockets is known to be a lead based material (Lead Styphenate) which has health implications and is also recognized as being a problem for automated press sensors (primer / ringer sensors). A lot of press reliability problems can be related back to the primer crud in your press. Once decapped, the cases can be wet cleaned. This makes the case identification and head stamps much easier to identify. (its also cleaner….).
The limitation on mixing cases is the height variation (to clear the drop tube), the size (it needs to fit inside the drop tube) AND ensuring the cases do not fit inside other cases. For example a 9mm case will fit inside a 40S&W case. Sorry we didn’t design the cases….
A number of manufacturers are making cases with small flash holes. These are known to catch on the decapping pins and lift the cases out of the pegs. This is NOT a fault of the decapper.

The Decapper is supplied as standard with the following:
The Decapper is a modified engineering plastic and is extremely strong. The material is the same as used in iron ore wear chutes and will last a very long time if looked after. The linkages will require greasing occasionally. Refer to the Operations and Maintenance manual for details.
The decapper will work on crimped and sealed cases but when it is new it may stall, this is a safety mechanism to stop damage to the machine. If this occurs, it may be necessary to run in the motor and gearbox (we recommend 6-8 hours). Contact Rollsizer directly for details.
