 Great Sabot

Got these last year, finally got around to shooting them. Wow, what a game changer! Had tried Hornady XTP sabot/bullet combination and some from CVA and also power belts. Paired with the Hornady 300GR XTP, these loaded far easier than any of the others. Accuracy was good, on par with the best combination previously tested, getting around 2" at 100 yards with my box-store CVA Wolf and scope set on 4X. Shooting 2 pellets 777 with a hot Nobel Sport primer in deference to the extreme cold in MN ML season.

Great Sabots!

I use the HA15044GR sabots in my .50 caliber TC Omega along with Speer 240 grain/.429 Deep Curl bullets over xx.x grains weight (xxx grains volume) of Blackhorn 209. Five shot average velocity was 1914 fps. Shooting from a bench rest, 50 yard five-shot group size was 0.5", with 100 yard five-shot groups just a smidgen over 1". With the gun sighted in with a 125 yard zero, that load hits 1" high at 75 yards and 2" low at 150 yards. What's not to like about that?
