GREAT PRIMERS

By Harold Q. on Dec 07, 2025
I use these Primers in all my Rifle cases that take Large Rifle Primers. These are Military Grade and so the Metal Cup is a little harder than Commercial Primer Cups so, if you have a rifle with a liter or weaker hammer spring you may experience some no-fires on the first attempt to fire the round. I experienced this in one of my rifles and corrected the issue by adjusting the spring tension up a little, no more no-fires. I have also noticed these Primers meet or exceed Commercial Primers for group sizes and velocity deviations. The more you know about your equipment and how to tune it, the better results you will have, Good shooting.

Good Stuff, However...

By Steve D. on Sep 27, 2025
Really like these Ginex primers, they chronograph as good and much better than some other brands. However, as others have mentioned they do take a strong priming tool to seat at the required 0.002 to 0.003" below the case head in order to light off properly!

The better bargain

While chrono graphing loads previously loaded with others primers, I noticed slightly improved velocities and and improved standard deviations.

Hard to seat

By Sean F. on Jan 05, 2025
I bought these primers a while back due to the primer shortage. They do work just fine in the hunting ammo that I use them for. They can be very hard to seat in some brass.
I have had 2 out of 100 rounds not fire on the first primer strike. They did fire on the second.
My fault. I should have looked a little closer to ensure that they were below flush.

work well

By David E. on Dec 15, 2024
I have used both the regular and magnum large rifle and they worked very well for me. They are a bit bigger so in new brass they seat hard but that is the only thing wrong. In my magnum 6.5 using LRT powder the magnum version gave very good ES readings.

Bad Primers - do not purchase

By David D. on Jan 28, 2024
I purchased 5000 Unis Large Rifle Primers a month ago and 9 out of the 1st 20 rounds did not fire on the first strike. Subsequently, 6 did cook off on the second strike. This is unacceptable performance for any application. The rifle has no mechanical issues and has fired 100% of the time on other ammo. Regardless if these are NATO specification or not - do not waste your money (+$600).
