Speer .270 150gr Grand Slam

I have had great results with these bullets out of different rifles in .270 Winchester. I switched to these after a difficult track with a 130 gr load that did not exit a 150lb whitetail shot at 40 yards. The tracking was tough through thick mesquite, and when we butchered the deer a nicely mushroomed bullet with 120gr left was found under the opposite skin. The bullet did its job, but it was at that point I decided that an exit hole was more desirable than "dumping all the energy inside." I have since harvested 3 whitetails with this bullet out of 18" and 24" barreled rifles, 0 to 50 yard tracking with great blood and normal exit holes. 1 to 1.5 MOA depending on the rifle with H4831.

These bullets are great quality at a very reasonable price. Excellent accuracy and knock down power for any deer we have down here in Tennessee. Just squeeze the trigger and give them a ride in the bed of your pick up.
