Product Information

Berry's Preferred Plated bullets begin as a swaged lead core. The swaged lead cores are tumbled in an electrically charged bath containing high-grade copper ingots. The copper clings to the lead and the longer the bullets remain in the bath, the thicker the plating.  The bullets are plated to the correct size and then taken out of the bath. Plated bullets are not as expensive as jacketed bullets.  They are cleaner than lead but you'll want to stay away from magnum velocities when loading plated bullets.  This is not loaded ammunition.

9mm Berry Bullets

By Wayne S. on Aug 22, 2018
I have used 9mm Berry bullets in both my Austrian Steyr and my P38. The bullet actually measures .3555" diameter but that's not an issue since FMJ bullets measure .3550" diameter. The bullets are uniform and nice visually. They feed and shoot very well. They are as accurate as a FMJ bullet The velocity should be kept below 1250 fps. I fire them in the indoor range of my gun club since FMJ bullets aren't allowed.

Have loaded now several thousand rounds of Berry' bullets of differing weights. Always been dependable, served the intended purpose and no rejects by visual inspection. Will continue to purchase until something changes.

loaded 3000 of these last year, cheap and accurate, just not supposed to push them past 1250fps. Excellent choice for target shooting.

I use close to 3-4K of these every year. This is my go to bullet. Cheap and they shoot good. Best of both worlds.
