The Wheeler Engineering® Universal Barrel Clamp is precision extruded from aircraft grade aluminum and bonded with non-marring urethane. The urethane coating is specially designed to provide a protective layer for the barrel’s finish while providing extraordinary gripping abilities. Three different barrel openings of .85”, .66” and .53” will accommodate anything from an AR pencil barrel up to a bull barrel. When inserted in a vise the urethane coating squeezes down tightly on the barrel to fully secure it for the forces needed for installation/ removal.

Poor clamping

Removing pistol barrel. This iined with thick pvc looking plastic. Good gap tightened in large vise. No matter how tight, the barrel slipped. The lining surface had no grip.
Very Convenient

This is so convenient to use compared to my old vice I had to bolted to my work bench. It was so difficult to maneuver around where this one is easy to snug the bbl into the vice and the rubber holds the bbl tightly and prevents scratching the bbl. Much more enjoyable to use. Worth it!
