Product Information

The new 1200 Classic features a completely redesigned base and drive system which was developed after years of studying and evaluating tumbler performance. The 1200 drive system has a beefed up suspension system and built in “exciters” for better tumbling action and faster case cleaning. The new drive system has improved air flow for cooling and guaranteed longer motor life. Combined with our new Anti-Rotation Pad Mounts the 1200 Classic runs smoother, quieter and better than ever before. Capacity of 350 .38 Special cases. For reloaders seeking the ultimate in case cleaning convenience, only Lyman offers the patented “Auto-Flo” system. Auto-Flo models automatically separate clean cases from media by using the units normal vibrating motion. When cases are clean, the user simply pulls the drain plug and the media drains from the exit port into the media drain pan (included).

My third one

Not really; first with the 'auto flow' which I will never use... I have ended the life of two 1200's in my time and thought I'd try this one.

It IS pretty quiet too!

Great tumbler but auto flo not very effective.

This is the quietest tumbler that I have owned. It does a super job of cleaning anything I throw in it. The auto flo is not what it's cracked up to be. Might just be operator error but first you must keep rotating the drain pan lest it fills too high. The tumbler makes a terribly loud noise when the media get low and despite all the vibrating, shells still do not drop all the media out. You must still put them in some type of shaker, basket, etc. to get all of the media out of them. This process is actually not as effective as using the old Franklin Arsenal tumbler I have. On the oops side.. Don't forget to replace the plug immediately when done because you will have a real mess on your hands when it starts pouring back onto your bench or floor when you turn on the motor. Been there, done that. Despite this.. Quietest tumbler I have and will continue to use it.
