Place an overshot card on top of the shot charge just before crimping. Overshot cards ensure flatter, tighter crimps; more consistent load combustion and pellet containment. Besides the benefits of a proper crimp, overshot cards do the critical work of containing pellets within the shotcup during the firing cycle and during the journey through your shotgun's barrel. Recommended for all high performance loads.

Great for keeping that buffer in place

I primarily use these for peace of mind to prevent a possible buffer leak at the crimp. They can also be used to adjust the stack height of your payload.

Overshot cards are great to have on your loading bench. Not every load will need them, but putting one on the shot column sure makes a nicely folded crimp. If your crimp doesn't allow the hull folds to tightly close the end, shot cards are a must to keep the pellets contained.

The use of the overshot card gives the top of the shot an even platform for the press to achieve flat and symmetrical crimps that greatly improve the seal of the crimp.
