Product Information

All SAECO moulds are machined from solid cast iron blocks one cavity at a time. Using the same cutting tool for each cavity on digital equipment guarantees that each cavity duplicates the previous one. The steel sprue plates are held firm against the mould blocks by high-temperature spring washers to insure uniform bullets with square bases. Mold handles not included.

Nice and versatile design...max performance for 9mm

By Anthony G. on Feb 02, 2019
This bullet design with its large truncated cone nose and mass-forward design allows for maximum case capacity in the diminutive 9x19. Despite the small shoulder it makes nice holes in paper. With proper powder selection and adequate alloy these can be cranked out at over 1100 FPS. They feed well in most designs. Because of the wide meplat they may not fit inside tight magazines. The distance from front of the forward driving band to meplat is .350" which makes for just under max OAL for 9mm and fits N-Frame 357 Magnum revolvers perfectly. Just get a 38/357 taper crimp die (if you only have a roll crimp) for revolvers (because this mold has no crimping groove). The mold throws .357-.358 bullets and so can do double duty in 9mm/38 SUPER and 38 SPECIAL/357MAG. A great and versatile bullet, and despite its high cost, the quality is the finest of any mold out there. Absolutely fine finish in the cavities, works perfectly, and throws perfectly round bullets. It's iron and so it is very durable compared to aluminum and brass molds. Unlike many SAECO molds (which are made for their lubricator) this is a plain not bevel base design. It does not experience leaking off lubricant at the base in RCBS/LYMAN lubricators if you adjust it correctly. Works with Lee 6-cavity handles if you drill the holes to 3/16".
