Product Information

Speer boat tail bullets are designed for long-range shooting. The tapered heel that gives the bullet type its name reduces aerodynamic drag for flatter trajectories. Our boat tails are designed for more rapid expansion than Hot-Cor, so they are an excellent choice for whitetail deer and antelope. In the larger calibers, they are great for long shots at just about any non-dangerous game. Like our other hunting bullets, the jackets taper from a thicker shank section to a thin nose section to keep retained weights high.

The Speer 180gr boat tails are a fine match for accurate hard hitting loads in my ar-10. I’ve been using h4895 with good velocity and moderately good accuracy out at a couple hundred yards. Give these bullets a try when they become available.

I really like these speer boattails. I use them for hunting in 30-06 and 300 weatherby. Very nice and accurate in both. They're sometimes hard to get so I stock up but what a great bullet. i use them for hunting and have had good results.

I bought these to work up some hunting loads for my M1 and they're accurate. Ejection wise, they behave like my 175gr match bullets with a similar powder charge, so that's good.

Grafs had a great price and shipped the order quickly.
