Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Flash holes are terrible. Only 49 PC in a bag

This brass works. That's as good as I can say.

Flash holes are inconsistent. One looks like it has 2 holes. These weigh 12 grains or more less than the Caltech brass which is excellent. First bag I opened only had 49

Horrible quality

The Flash holes on some of these are the size of 2 holes. I happened to get some captech brass at the same time and its so much better quality. go for that.

I only had 49 in the first bag of 50 I opened. weight was about 168 vs 183 for captech.

If it was not so cheap. I would write a complaint letter to Winchester.

My purchase of "Krag" brass here at Grafs' was a nice surprise; "Winchester" Brand!!! I first purchased 100 shells of this brass to first check it out, I found the quality and performance to be on the money and not at all a disappointment. Finding brass for the 30-40 Krag was made easy here at Grafs' The price and availability in stock is strong here and so I purchased another 150 shells! I 'll say I was not disappointed and you too will appreciate Graf's great customer service and quality products.

These Winchester cases, I'm happy to report, are typical for them: affordable, uniform and dependable. Out of the bag, necks were sized to insure roundness and tension. OAL was fine, but mouths were chamfered inside & out. Primer pockets are concentric and tight. This is my initial loading. I'm very happy with these; they make for a great looking cartridge!
