BURRIS RING 1" XTRM TACT PICATINNY LOW MAT 2-RINGS

I prefer to use the Burris Signature rings, since the polymer insert protects the finish of the scope. However, I had an application that required a quick mount and detach capability. The XTREME TACT uses a hefty 1/2" clamp nut, which is handier than the hex-head screws used on the similar Signature rings. A scope in these rings will retain zero, as long as you remember to push the scope and rings forward on the rail to the stops.

With a Picatinny rail, there is no need to lap these rings. With six clamping screws on each ring, the scope can be secured without undue or excessive tightening of the screws, although I still recommend following the manufacturer's specification and using a torque driver.
