 LEE Deluxe Power Trim

This device is very effective for trimming a bunch of cases fast. After using a hand cranked trimmer and trying to convert it to a drill for power, with the corresponding die and using the proper speed, I increased my production rate by a factor of about 8 compared to my hand-cranked trimmer. The one drawback is having to properly clean the cutters every 50 trims or so. Not having to chamfer the cases after trimming is a real plus, also.

Be careful with the power cutter

The dies are great but be careful with the power trim. The chamfering blades will bend easily if you don’t have the steel spacer on for rifle cases. I had to add a thin plastic spacer to mine to keep from over cutting my casings.
Otherwise it’s a great cutter and heavily built. I quickly and easily cut 300 cases to length on a Saturday morning. With the chamfer blades out there was no jamming from brass chips like I was expecting.
