Lead fluxing made easy. No more using rosin, paraffin, tallow, bullet lube, and other homemade concoctions. CleanCast is non-smoking, odor-free, and it really works. Only a small amount is necessary to prepare even a 20 pound lead pot for bullet production. My bullet casting metals consist of pure lead, wheel weight metal and linotype metal.
Sometimes I like to make alloys. I cast a few bullets and use a SAECO Lead Hardness with a vernier scale.
FRANKFORD ARSENAL 1LB CLEANCAST LEAD FLUX helps me adjust the hardness I seek.
This is an excellent product and a must-have for bullet casters like me.

Worse than a waste

This stuff coats your dipper, pot, and any other tools you immerse in your lead. The coating absorbs moisture as the tools cool. Then, when you use them the next time, and they're cold and have been sitting for a while, the hot lead spits back at you. Cleaning the coating off the tools is a lot of work. I just junked mine and got new ones. Don't waste your money or time.
