IT WORKS

By David C. on Feb 06, 2019
I have been using this solvent for my handguns for the last year with good results. It leaves a good protective coating after a tight patch is run though several times. I shoot a lot of lead and jacketed bullets and experience minimum bore fouling with this cleaner.

Excellent product

I have used the previous incarnation of this product, the "Lead and Powder" bore solvent. This newer type has added a CPL component. I just used it to clean two handguns after firing lead bullet target loads. Cleans carbon and lead fowling out very well. (Any stubborn lead bore plating I simply use a bronze brush wrapped with a layer of chore-boy brass or copper scouring pad. Cuts plating right out.) Let soak about a half hour first, followed by bronze brush and patch. Leaves a protectant layer afterwards. Actually seasons the bore with continued use. Best of all no horrible solvent odor to gas you out of the room. Pro-Shot makes excellent gun care products as a whole. I use their jags, brushes and cleaning rods also.
