New with the KP model is the keypad that offers a secondary entry method where the user can program a 4 to 6 digit security code in addition to the RFID-enabled access methods. Available in two sizes, the 2600KP and 2700KP offer convenient, tamper-proof security for handguns and other valuables. Made of thick 14 gauge steel, each safe exceeds ASTM International safety standards for child and pry resistance, lock strength, and hinge attack resistance. AC and battery power ensures that valuables are protected and ready to go 24/7. Plus, there are pre-drilled holes for mounting, or a 1500-lb rated cable to secure to stationery objects.

Reliable - HORNADY RAPID SAFE 2700KP X-LARGE

I've used this product with an RFID wristband at least twice-a-day for 2+ years without an issue. It hold a G19 and G43 with an extra mag for each.

Based on this reliability, I bought 2 more as gifts for friends with young kids.

Highly recommended.

Hornady 2700 KP Rapid Safe

This is a nice little safe to secure your firearm. Don't think I need to worry about my grandchildren gettin into it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the RFID. It doesn't work first time every time. In a situation I will just put the code in as it will be much more "Rapid" than trying to scan the darn thing.
