Product Information

Ammo Checkers are gauges that verify the quality and consistency of both reloaded and factory ammo. They are machined from solid aluminum and cut with custom tooling to SAAMI minimum chamber tolerances. Just drop your cartridge into the gauge and if it fits, it will chamber in your gun. Each gauge is clearly marked for caliber and is anodized in a bright orange color so that they will be easy to spot on your reloading bench.

Great tool for troubleshooting

Lyman multi caliber checkers are my go-to but unfortunately 6.5 creedmoor isn’t included in the multi-block so I had to get this one separately. This saves a lot of frustration later if you reload a lot. Pop it into the checker and it’s assured it should seat in your chamber. No more issues in the field or range. If it doesn’t drop right in and fall free you can determine why right away at the bench instead of in the field.

Works as Intended

I have several of the Lyman multi caliber ammo checker blocks that I use all of the time. The rifle block does not include the 6.5 Creedmore so I had to buy this separately. I use this along with an RCBS precision mic and have never had any issues with my reloads seating properly in my guns. I run every cartridge through the checker and if it sits flush it will chamber. These checkers along with the precision mics have helped me a great deal in setting up the resizing die properly.

Be aware that these are set to the SAAMI specifications. That means it is designed to check if your reloads are essentially sized as a factory round would be. If you only neck size your brass after firing to get a specific fit for a specific gun, then this is probably not what you are looking for as it is likely that none of them will seat in this checker due to brass expansion.
