KROIL

The product itself works great as a penetrating oil and bore cleaner. However the new packaging is terrible as there was no applicator tip and cap as shown in the picture. The plastic cap included was very difficult to remove and hard to use with no applicator tip.

Kroil for firearm lubrication

Been using Kroil for many years. Great product for cleaning and preserving guns. Penetration properties of this oil makes it perfect for freeing up “frozen” parts. Will continue to be a staple of my workbench for years to come.

Kroil is the best.

I've used Kroil for many years for a variety of things, from rusted nuts and bolts to cleaning old tools, and as a fantastic gun cleaning solvent. Between Kroil and REAL Break-Free CLP (Not the knock-offs permeating the Amazon market...) You don't need anything else in your gun maintenance kit. Maybe a couple ounce of good heavy waterproof grease....(the red stuff..) Kroil Rocks!

Great for rust removal and it gets the lead out!

By Eric V. on Jun 03, 2020
I use Kroil a lot for removing lead after shooting cast bullets through my handguns. I run a soaking wet patch through the bore and let it sit for a half hour or so. Then I brush the bore with a wire brush and the lead comes out in flakes. Occasionally, it takes two treatments but usually one is enough. Then I clean the bore as normal.

I also use it if any of my equipment gets a rust spot. I will apply the Kroil liberally, let it sit for a while, then eith brush the are with a still nylon or brass brush, or I have used a nickle to rub the spot on blued firearms. Just hard enough to remove the sport. It works!

It is just amazing!

I use it every time I remove a factory barrel. I simply tip the action/barrel muzzle facing down, then pour a bit of Kroil into the open action. It just needs to be in the action on top of the barrel threads. Let it soak over night, be sure muzzle is facing down and verticle. The next day the barrel is so easy to break free!!

What?

I just cleaned three rifles with this junk and cannot see what the hype is about. I have used much better products in the past. Sorry I bought two cans of this stuff.
