LIGHTNING 22c (.224) 55gr FMJBT BULLET w/CAN 500/bx

Haven’t had a chance to shoot any yet but loaded a few & they seem to work fine. I’m not going for super accuracy to blow through my AR so I’m not concerned about the bad reviews. I was happy to find a good deal.

for the price they were pretty consist in weight and length.

Bought these on a whim due to the short supply thinking "These will do for the range" and the price was too good to pass up. When received, they looked just as good and well finished as the ones I have used from Hornady (much better looking than the picture on the Graf page). Loaded up several and they shot groups as well as any from my AR.
Next time they are available, I will get a bunch more.

The bullets look nice and are similar in all respects to the brand name bullets that I normally use. Using the same loading as the Hornady 55g psp boat tail I normally use, the groups average 1.31". No complaints and I would buy them again.

Bought these hoping they would be ok. I did a complete layout out on a couple dozen. Everything wasn't just in compliance, they all held less than .0003" in total variation with OD's and OAL. All weighed within .01 grains too. They loaded well and shot in tight groups. I would buy these again without any further hesitation. Thank you Lightning Ammo. You present a fine product.

Easy to load with the boat tail in cannelure. Comparable to the Hornady or Winchester bulk bullets.

Can't wait to start reloading again!

The batch I got was terrible - OAL varied +- .020" at least, and when loaded at normal velocities keyholing and massive accuracy issues from 5(!) different barrels of various lengths. Hornady 55gr in the same barrels, same everything zero problems and a single hole.

Was a bit hesitant having seen only 1 review on YouTube where the jacket separated. I did not have similar issues, although i've only run it up to 2700fps.

Working up the load to 2900fps out of a 16" but not expecting any issues.

For the price (8c) in only 500 qty, these are well worth it. Similarly priced bullets require you to buy in bulk.

I use these to punch holes in paper targets. They load easily using a Ponsness Warren bullet seat die. I load just hot enough to cycle the rifle for low cost 223 day at the range.

This is the first time I ordered Lightning bullets and I will be ordering many more. The weight is consistent, they are easy to load at a uniform AOL but best of all they are accurate and inexpensive.
