Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

these .32-40 cases are fine

I use this for 3 different Winchester 1885 Single Shot rifles I have that are chambered in 32-40. It works just fine, this is a fairly hard to find kind of brass so it's great to have a source. I found that I need to full length size this brass because some of the chambers are on the tight side and full length sizing reduces the chance of a round sticking in the chamber due to excessive body size, it does seem to be the body and not the neck that is a bit large for some chambers.

I defy anyone to find .32-40 brass of this quality anywhere today. In fact, it's virtually impossible to locate this obsolete caliber in any condition. I'm very pleased that it arrived so quickly.

Graff&Sons was the only place that I could find this brass in stock and with the correct head stamp. The brass loaded up just fine and I'm ready for the range.

Good to find the brass. Seems to be a bit thinner and softer than my existing brass with other headstamps, so may require some minor adjustment to my handloads in a Schuetzen. This is not unexpected. The edges of the necks were a bit rough (dull saw used to cut them to length?) but a bit of chamfering fixed that.
Graf's is always a good source for this sort of thing. The price is high, but the manufacturer has to set up all the tooling for rare brass and then makes relatively short production runs. So the price reflects that.

This brass became available at just the right time for me, so I ordered some. It arrived promptly from Graf's and I reloaded it right away. It is of good quality and well made. No dented mouths or flaws. I am pleased with it.
