The Xtreme Defense (XD) Technology is based on the popular Xtreme Penetrator product line. The design goal was to achieve the same barrier performance and massive permanent wound cavity and reduce the penetration depth to coincide with an individual's personal comfort level. It was a goal we did not meet; it was a goal we blew out of the water!

Progressive nose geometry 18" penetration depth range
A permanent wound cavity (PWC)that is 2 times greater than any expanding bullet
A PWC near that of a 5.56 rifle.
Reduced recoil.
CNC machined from solid copper to overcome barriers to penetration
Radial flutes that force the hydraulic energy inward to build pressure

Purchased these to load 10mm for back woods bear spray.
loaded to Lehigh specs using Power Pistol. 1411fps out of a glock 40 kkm barrel.

Followed load data on Lehigh web-page. Getting 1460 FPS out of carbine. Loaded up easy and accuracy seems very good.
I plan on using these for deer/pig hunting.

bought these on a whim to see how they matched up to some of the other "extreme" penetration rounds on the market. like the copper composite bullets and rounds like that.
so far with what i have seen they are blowing the competition out of the water. especially in the hard hitting 10mm and it's little sister the 40 S&W
no issues with off tracking after hitting glass, 2x4's dry wall (esc.) also side note. with 10mm loads projectile will pass clean through 1" lexan bullet proof glass that stops 50AE and penetrates into balistics gel 4-6 inches (hand loads) would recommend
