LEE 9MM LUGER CARBIDE FACTORY TAPER CRIMP DIE
Carbide Factory Crimp Die sizes the cartridge while being crimped so every round will positively chamber freely with factory like dependability The adjusting screw quickly and easily sets the desired amount of crimp. Trim Length is not critical so this extra operation takes less time than it would if cases were trimmed and chamfered. A firm crimp is essential for dependable and accurate ammunition, as it eliminates the problems of poor ignition of slow burning magnum powders.

Insurance for the "plunk test".

Brass and loaded ammunition prices have me picking up 9mm range brass at my outdoor range. After sizing through my Dillon carbide sizing die, I often encounter several loaded rounds that will not fully chamber in one or more of my 9mm pistols. These rounds get a final trip through the Lee die. It returns the recalcitrant round to dimensions that allow the round to drop freely into the chamber of a disassembled barrel - the "plunk test". Note that cartridge overall length problems must be addressed by a seating die, not this sizing die. The Lee die also enables me to easily apply a consistent taper crimp of my choosing.
I am very pleased with this product and, as always, am delighted with the service and fast shipping of Grafs.

Should have bought the complete set...

I added this die to the set of RCBS dies, due to the bullet seater/crimp not crimping properly.
Now realizing I should have bought the 4 die set to do away with lubing the casings for sizing.
As always, very satisfied with Grafs for pricing, and service.
