Product Information

Berry's Preferred Plated bullets begin as a swaged lead core. The swaged lead cores are tumbled in an electrically charged bath containing high-grade copper ingots. The copper clings to the lead and the longer the bullets remain in the bath, the thicker the plating.  The bullets are plated to the correct size and then taken out of the bath. Plated bullets are not as expensive as jacketed bullets.  They are cleaner than lead but you'll want to stay away from magnum velocities when loading plated bullets.  This is not loaded ammunition.

I purchased these to work up some loads in 45 Auto Rim.
Have had great luck with Berry in the past. I found a load that works very well in my 1937 S&W also fantastic in my 625. Very pleased will buy again.

These bullets load easily, are accurate, and the plating is very tough, I use a firm crimp with no issues. Will be buying more for sure.

My blackhawk didn't like lead bullets, severe barrel leading issues, with different manufacturers, didn't matter, it's not a cylinder issue ,as they have been honed. Tried Berrys bullets 45 colt, good accuracy , and no leading , the plating is very tough, I use a firm crimp, and no cracking of the plating, have recovered some of the flattened slugs after shooting steel, the plating remains on them. Very good bullets.
