Hornady neck turning tool and mandrels

I bought this tool from Graf and sons along with the .35 caliber mandrel. I'm converting .300 win mag cases to 350 rem mag cases, so I need to turn down the thick necks. I followed all of the directions and it works perfectly. I am very pleased with this very well made tool.

Everything on this tool works as it is supposed to and does a good job. One thing I did have to fix was the cutter was not straight and I did order a cheapo graver sharpening jig and it allowed me to sharpen the cutter perfectly on a sharpening stone. Now it cuts the necks beautifully. I have trimmed about 100 6.5 Grendel cases and they look great.
Something to keep in mind is the mandrels on the cutter tool are undersized. I sized my cases without the expander ball then use a Lyman M die to expand them which makes them fit tighter on the mandrel. You only trim them once so the extra work is worth it to me. Don't forget to lube the manderel and the case neck outside so the cutter cuts better and stays cooler.
You also need to order Hornady shell holders as it does not come with any. I think this tool is a great buy.
