Lee dies work well and are very affordable. I just wish this set came with the .311 expander as I don't know anyone with a 7.62x54R that slugs .308

The dies come with a thick coat of oil on them, which is great for storage, but there's particles suspended in the oil. Might be metal shavings, or just grit, but if you don't clean the dies *very* thoroughly, they will gouge the necks of your brass.

Also, for anyone using IMR 4895 in their x54R, xx grains is not sufficient when full-sizing. I get significant gas blowback if I don't use more than xx grains.

Good, affordable die set. Includes factory crimp die and #16 shell holder. It also gives you reloading data. Highly recommend.

Lee FL dies, don't buy

I've used Lee collet neck dies for years so I thought I'd try these. Big mistake. The decapper/expander will not stay in position no matter how hard I tighten down the collet. They work alright in other calibers but for some reason they are hopeless with x54r. They also only include a .308 expander while most rifles in this caliber fire .310-.311 bullets. Spend the extra money for RCBS.
