Product Information

The Lee Factory Crimp die crimps the bullet in place more firmly than any other tool. It is impossible to buckle the case as with regular roll crimp dies. Trim length is not critical.

The perfect crimping die for the 45-70

By John M. on May 04, 2023
We have never used separate crimping dies for all our calibers so we though we'd try this one out. Turns out this makes the perfect crimp in the cannelure just like the factory rounds. Simple to set up and case length is not as critical which saves time processing brass.

Have used these dies with a number or cartridges. They all work well. The 45-70 is no different.

Lee 45-70 Crimp Die

By Ryan M. on Nov 14, 2020
I have a couple Hornady presses and until recently have used either Hornady or RCBS dies. But when I needed to purchase a 350 Legend die set the only one available at the time was a Lee set, and that is what I have purchased since. I am accustomed to seating and crimping in one step with Hornady and RCBS dies, but I like this set up better-less margin for error. Any new calibers I need I will be purchasing Lee dies from now on

Great Crimp Die

By Fredrick W H. on Oct 27, 2020
I have one of these Crimp Dies for 30 carbine and I shoot that in an AMT Auto Mag 3 and a Ruger Black Hawk revolver.... I got one for my BFR Revolver in 45/70,these dies will crimp extremely heavy as they are a collet type crimp die but everything will stay in place. If you are having issues with bullet pull you may want to try one of these. Thank you Graf's for stocking these.

Great for getting my 1895 guide gun fed and consistent with the crimp.
